Steffie Wallace

Steffie was born in Adelaide, South Australia and moved to Melbourne aged 10. She studied life drawing at the National Gallery Art School, Melbourne and later studied Fine Art Painting and Printmaking at the Victorian College of the Arts. Steffie also studied Arts at Swinburne University.

Her working life has included as a graphic artist and catalogue illustrator, an art critic for the “Melbourne Times” newspaper, and gallery director of “l’estampe originale” in Hawthorn, specialising in European antique prints. Since 2014 Steffie has worked as a full-time artist.

In 2015 she was awarded the Lorenzo il Magnifico Silver Medal for Painting, at ‘X Florence Biennale’, Fortezza da Basso in Florence, Italy.
