"I am a young artist who has been painting for five years. I use different mediums depending on the subject. I started in oils and then moved to pan pastels for the pieces in my upcoming exhibition (Serendipitous).

I love the texture of pastels and their matte tone. However, I have moved back into oils recently because found I was missing the intensity of the colours. Art is a way for me to express my inner feelings and thoughts about myself and life.

I'm often asked what my pieces and concepts represent and I always find it difficult to answer. The work I've done to date represent so many different ideas. But I do know I like to challenge and explore the thoughts around women and also how we might view ourselves. I also really want people to make up their own mind about what the piece might mean to them. I value the different impressions that art has on the viewer, and I often find they see something totally different to me. I like that, because then they truly make the art their own."
